About Granny Goodwitch Bakery
Est. March 17th 2012
<------------------April (The owner in 1989)
Granny Goodwitch Bakery was names after April's Great Grandmother, Mary Murphy. April's Mother, Jerri called her Granny Goodwitch. No Mary Murphy was not a witch except in the kitchen where anything she made came out "wickedly delicious."
April never meet Granny Goodwitch but instead learned how to bake at a young age from her Grandmother, Maud and her mother, Jerri. Maud was head baker at oneof the local high schools and growing up Jerri had her own cake business out of their house.
April's fondest memories were icing a cake at age 4 and every holiday helping make cookies and fudge. Her mother and grandmother always wanted to open a bakery but were never able to see that dream come true, until that dream became April's.
That dream became a reality after April and her family invested their own time and money along with a loan from the city of East Peoria, and Fondulac Bank.
Many people have helped to get and keep this bakery open. From our family to yours thank you for continuing support we hope to continue to serve the City of East Peoria and the surround communities.
